What Happens When We Multiply?

When we multiply, we are making a number bigger. For example, if you have 2 apples and you multiply by 10, you will have 20 apples!

Key Rules for Multiplying by 10, 100, and 1000

1. Multiplying by 10: When you multiply a number by 10, you simply add a zero to the end of that number.
   • Example:

2. Multiplying by 100: When you multiply by 100, you add two zeros to the end of the number.
