Introduction to Time

What Are Units of Time?

Units of time are ways we measure how long something lasts. The main units of time you already know are:

  • Years (y)

Key Rules

  1. 60 seconds in 1 minute
  2. 60 minutes in 1 hour
  3. 24 hours in 1 day
  4. 7 days in 1 week
  5. 4 weeks in 1 month (on average)
  6. 12 months in 1 year
  7. 365 days in 1 year (or 366 in a leap year)
