1. A Letter to a Friend

Dear Emily,

I hope you are having a fantastic time at home! I wanted to tell you all about my adventures during the summer holidays. Last week, I went to the beach with my family. The sun was shining brightly, and the sand felt warm beneath my toes. I built the tallest sandcastle ever, and it had a moat filled with water! I even found some beautiful shells to decorate it.

After that, we went swimming in the sea. The waves were so big that I felt like a pirate sailing on the ocean! I splashed around and tried to catch some waves. It was so much fun! We also collected seashells and looked for crabs hiding in the rocks.

I really miss playing with you. Remember our secret club under the big oak tree? We should definitely meet up and play there again soon. I can’t wait to hear all about your holiday adventures too!

Sending you lots of love and sandy hugs,

Your best friend,

Sam

2. A Letter to Grandma

Dear Grandma,

I hope you are doing well and enjoying your garden. I wanted to write to you and share all the wonderful things happening in my life. School is going great! We are learning about animals, and I got to choose my favourite animal to write about. I picked a dolphin because they are so clever and friendly!

Last weekend, I tried making your famous chocolate cake with Mum. It turned out a bit lumpy, but it still tasted delicious! We ate it all in one go. I wish we could bake together again. Your cakes always taste better!

I miss our tea parties in your lovely garden. The flowers are blooming, and the butterflies are everywhere. I can’t wait to visit you again and help you water the flowers. Please tell me when you’re free so I can come over!

Sending you big hugs and kisses,

Love,

Lucy

3. A Letter to Santa

Dear Santa,

Hello! My name is Oliver, and I am 8 years old. I hope you are doing well at the North Pole. I have been trying my best to be good this year. I helped my mum with the dishes and played nicely with my sister, Emily.

For Christmas this year, I would really love a new bike. Mine is too small now, and I would like to ride around the park with my friends. I promise to take good care of it! I would also like a book about adventures, as I love reading about exciting journeys.

I will leave some cookies and milk for you on Christmas Eve. I will also leave some carrots for the reindeer because I know they must get hungry flying around the world!

Thank you for all the wonderful gifts you bring every year. I hope you have a safe journey!

Best wishes,

Oliver

4. A Letter to a Teacher

Dear Miss Thompson,

I hope you are having a lovely week! I wanted to say thank you for being such a wonderful teacher. I really enjoy our English lessons, especially when we read stories together. My favourite book so far has been “The Gruffalo.” I love how clever the little mouse is!

I also appreciate how you always encourage us to share our ideas. I feel more confident when I speak in class now. I’ve been practicing my writing, and I think I’m getting better at it!

I have a question about our next project. Will we be able to choose our own topic? I have some ideas that I would love to explore, like space or underwater creatures. I can’t wait to learn more!

Thank you again for everything you do for us. You make learning so much fun!

Warm regards,

Tommy

5. A Letter to a New Pen Pal

Dear Mia,

Hello! My name is Charlie, and I live in London. I was so excited to receive your letter! It’s great to have a pen pal. I love hearing about different places, and I can’t wait to learn more about where you live.

I enjoy playing football and going to the park with my friends. We play every Saturday, and it’s always so much fun! Do you play any sports? I would love to hear about your hobbies and what you like to do in your free time.

I also enjoy drawing and reading. I just finished a book about a magical dragon! It was so exciting! Do you have a favourite book?

Looking forward to your reply!

Best wishes,

Charlie

6. A Letter of Apology

Dear Mum,

I want to say sorry for not cleaning my room when you asked me to. I know it was my responsibility, and I should have listened to you. I got distracted playing video games, and I didn’t mean to upset you.

I promise to clean my room right after I finish this letter. I will also make sure to keep it tidy from now on. I understand how important it is to keep our home nice and neat.

Thank you for being patient with me. I really appreciate everything you do for our family, and I am sorry for not helping out when I should have.

I love you lots and will do better,

Your son,

Jack

7. A Letter to an Animal Shelter

Dear Animal Shelter Team,

My name is Sophie, and I am 9 years old. I want to write to tell you how much I admire the work you do for animals in need. I love animals, and I have a pet cat named Whiskers. She is my best friend!

I would like to help the animals at your shelter. I am planning a bake sale with my friends to raise some money. We hope to donate it to help feed the animals. I wonder if you could tell me what else we can do to help?

Thank you for taking care of all the furry friends. You are making a big difference in their lives.

Best wishes,

Sophie

8. A Letter to the Principal

Dear Mr Smith,

I hope you are well! I wanted to write to you about the playground. I think it would be great to have a new slide because the old one is a bit rusty and not very safe. Many kids love to play on slides, and a new one would make the playground even more fun!

I also have an idea for a school event. How about a talent show? Everyone could showcase their unique talents, whether it’s singing, dancing, or magic tricks! It would be a wonderful way to bring our school together and celebrate our creativity.

Thank you for considering my ideas. I look forward to hearing your thoughts!

Yours sincerely,

Ella

9. A Letter to a Favourite Author

Dear Mr Brown,

My name is Alex, and I am 10 years old. I am a big fan of your books, especially the “Adventures of Captain Starfish.” I love how imaginative your stories are and how they take me on exciting journeys!

I wanted to ask you how you come up with your ideas. Do you have a favourite character you’ve created? I often dream of being a writer one day, just like you. Your books inspire me to write my own stories about brave heroes and magical worlds.

Thank you for sharing your wonderful stories with us. I can’t wait to read your next book!

Best wishes,

Alex

10. A Letter to Myself

Dear Future Me,

Hello! It’s me, and I
